Introducing The Reliance, a lovely local pub with creative tendencies. Our artist-in-residence, Charlie Smith, operates a private art gallery on our second floor with a new show opening every third Thursday of the month. Our first floor houses a large private dining and event space with a pretty balcony. Finally, on the ground floor is our bar and dining area, where you can get straight to the good stuff – eating and drinking. The unusual sliding front to our pub gives the illusion of actually being outside and we have a late licence until 2am Thursday to Saturday and until 4am on the last Saturday of the month, for those of you who just can’t get enough of us.
We like to make sure that not only do we offer a great selection of beer from independent and international brewers, but that it’s expertly poured and served with a friendly grin. Not in the mood for a pint? Never fear, we also stock a wide range of whiskey, rum, wines and everything in between. For those of you in need of a caffeine hit we also make a mean coffee, using freshly brewed Fairtrade ground beans from Monmouth Coffee and Climpson & Sons.
Serving a very traditional British menu accompanied by Lebanese specials, such as mezze platters and our ever popular falafel burgers, we aim to deliver the type of hearty food you expect at a good pub, but with little twists to keep things interesting. Our salads are tasty enough to appease even the most discerning of leaf eaters and our brioche burgers are super juicy and just a little sloppy, which is how all good burgers should be.
